The "Memories of Times Past" Story

It was an ordinary day. Visiting a small town along the Chesapeake Bay and leaving an antique shop where Carol thought we might be able to find some sea glass. Didn't find any, but did find an old phone like we used to have in our house on Janet Avenue. I can remember when one of our youngest son's friend came to visit and didn't know how to use the phone. Wow, really bringing back memories. Thought I might write a little about some of the neat things that I grew up with as a kid. See if you remember them also. Should be able to tell your age by what you know or don't know. I'll do it with some pictures to make it easy. The results are at the end. It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.

Answers from the top are: fountain pen, double-bubble gum, Lucy, 45 insert for record, 15 cent burgers at McDonald's, transistor radio, candy cigarettes, drive-in theatre, card catalogue, jacks, dial phone, Leave it to Beaver, view master, test pattern, candy buttons, Dennis the Menace, green stamps, Lassie, typewriter

How'd you do?
