The "Blowin' Off Steam, Again" Story

It was an ordinary day.  Reading in the papers and online about the ongoing Jerry Sandusky scandal.  Back on July 29th I posted a story and gave a few of my own opinions about the scandal.  One of the opinions was directed toward now Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett who happened to be the Attorney General when the case came to light.  I believe he had enough information and proof to charge Sandusky with child-rape back in the early 2000s, but chose not to do so because he was planning to run for Governor and didn't want Penn State University, Penn State alumni, and all the big name and big money Republicans against him for exposing one of Penn State's football coaches.  Now we will see if I was right!  A Democrat, Kathleen Kane, was just elected the new Attorney General of Pennsylvania with 56% of the vote.  She carried the Republican counties of Centre, Clearfield, Clinton and Blair which is Penn State territory.  She won because she made Corbett's handling of the Jerry Sandusky case the issue in the election telling people that she would not take 33 months to get a child sex offender "off the street."  Now she has access to every document from every investigation Corbett completed as attorney general.  That is unless some of the documents may have found their way to the shredder.  Corbett may have been able to get Sandusky "off the street" a long time before he abused as many children as he did and save the Penn State football program and the good name of Joe Paterno.  Would also have saved Spanier, Shultz and Curley from the mess they are now facing.  Spanier claims that he was drawn into the scandal by Corbett, who is trying to settle a score with the former PSU president.  Spanier says that Corbett was aware of the allegations against Sandusky back in 2008 and yet knowingly allowed a child predator to roam free for three more years.  Corbett says he needed more evidence and didn't want to compromise the grand jury probe.  I also remember reading about Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar who disappeared right after meeting with Corbett on March 31, 2005.  My gut feeling is that even though he was declared dead, he is somewhere else in the world, living on the money that he was given by someone who didn't want him doing anymore investigating into the case.  I wonder how long the Penn State University supporters and alumni will back Corbett when they find out he may have thrown Joe Pa and the Penn State football program under his campaign bus.  Now, what's the name of the guy who is the next in line to run Pennsylvannia?  Get ready!  It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
