The "Man Cave" Story

It was an ordinary day.  Just finished working at the gallery for the day.  As I headed to the door I took a photo of what I had been working on for the last week and a half.  Sounds like a lot of hours spent, but only being able to work an hour to hour and a half a day until I visit my neurosurgeon in the near future, the time amounted to maybe fifteen hours.  Not bad to complete four hand-sewn NFL Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys and one LA Laker jersey.  A customer recently brought in the five jerseys to be framed to hang in his "Man Cave."  The expense to sew and frame the five jerseys didn't seem to be a deterent in making his "Man Cave" one of the best in the neighborhood.  The Steelers jerseys were replicas of the jerseys worn by #43 - Troy Polamula, #92 - James Harrison, #32 - Franco Harris, #35 - Dan Kreider, and #32 - Magic Johnson.
All the jerseys had either a photo showing the player signing
the jersey or a letter of authenticity telling that someone
witnessed them signing the jersey.  Makes the shirt more valuable.
All the jerseys were auto- graphed with a letter or photo of authen- ticity.  Pretty neat collection.  And, they looked great when they were finished and ready to be hung in his house.  The Steelers aren't my favorite team, but being they are from my home state of Pennsylvania, I do root for them when they aren't playing the Philadelphia Eagles.  My favorite shirt, which probably was the favorite of our customer, was the Dan Kreider shirt.
#35 Dan Kreider from Manheim, Pennsylvania.
Dan is from nearby Manheim, PA and played his football for Manheim Central High School.  When Dan was a senior at Manheim Central he was picked as the best player in Section II of the Lancaster-Lebanon League.  He attended the University of New Hampshire where he was an A student in business administration.  He was a three-year starter at New Hampshire at fullback and as a junior rushed 92 times for 518 yards and caught 25 passes for 275 yards while scoring one touchdown.  He was signed after his junior year as a free agent.  His punishing style of running and bull-nosed blocking gained him many fans in the Lancaster area as well as all over PA.  So, you see why his jersey had to be one of the jerseys that I framed.  Hoping the customer will enjoy his new framed NFL jerseys and will find a prominent place in his "Man Cave."  It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
