The "Places To See & Things To Do: Part II - Paradise Island" Story

Paradise Island is reached by a bridge from Nassau.
It was an ordinary day.  Just pulled into Marina Village on Paradise Island to check out some of the shops that we remember- ed from our last trip to the island a few years ago.  The shopping area is close to Atlantis and you can see many of the large yachts that pull into the marina and disembark as they head to the Atlantis for gambling, visiting the fabulous underwater Lost City of Atlantis or getting a few thrills on the water rides.  As we begin our walk the memories return as Carol and Just Sue decide to head into a jewelry shop to see if that favorite piece of jewelry they saw the last time is still in the case by the window.  I head toward the docks to see what I might find interesting to photograph.  As I did yesterday, follow my journey as I take you around the area with my camera.

One of my first photos shows Atlantis in the background with a yacht to the right in the foreground.
Another large yacht is docked along the waterway.
And ... one more ride.
The shopping area is as remarkable as the yachts.
Carol and Just Sue roam the shops at the Village Marina.
A real orchid was used to cast his glass necklace.
The architecture and palms lend themselves to the beach themed shopping area.
Shirts galore fill most of the shops.
I'm more interested in the decorations than the shopping.
Pastel colors lend themselves to the theme of the shopping area.
You can tell it is the "off-season" by looking at this photo.
Stuffed animals in beachy pastels.
My photo journey has concluded as we head back to the car to try and find our way to one of my favorite restaurants, Jimmy Buffett's Margarittaville.  Follow along tomorrow as I try and locate the correct turn to take to find the place.
We did find it!
