This is Larry's wife, Carol, writing his last blog story. Larry passed away early Friday morning, March 28th. He lost a short battle with lung cancer, being diagnosed in late February. Larry wasn't a smoker because 57 years ago when we started dating, I told him I wouldn't go out with him if he didn't stop smoking! HE DID! We had many happy years together and he celebrated his 80 birthday in September. We had three wonderful children, and three super-wonderful grandchildren. Our two granddaughters, one an RN and the other in RN classes, helped with his care near the end. And I am so grateful for them. Larry will be greatly missed by family and friends. He took great pride in writing this blog and delighted in reading your comments.
He wrote his own obituary in this blog a few years ago with his great sense of humor. Type "obit" in the search engine to read it. Keep in mind it was all in jest with a good amount of truth included.
Rest in Peace Dear Larry,
Friend, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, teacher, woodworker, photographer, stained glass designer, writer of blogs
