It was an ordinary day. Walking through our local Walmart with my friend Just Sue. Just Sue and her husband Jerry both graduated from high school with me so we have been friends for many, many years. The purpose of our trip to the store is to buy a flash drive so I can load music on it. Our new car has a port to plug in a flash drive and when we made a visit to the Chesapeake Bay area for lunch today, Just Sue loved most of the songs I had placed on my flash drive and wanted some of the songs on a flash drive for her car.
After we found what we needed, she asked me where the automotive department was located. Pointed it out at the other end of the store and she told me she needed to visit it to look for a car deodorizer. A minute or two later she was standing in front of the display of deodorizers, pulling one from it's hook which was about eye level. "This is just what I wanted for Carol," she said. I looked at it and noticed it was much the same as the necklace that she had around her neck. "Yep, this is where I bought mine. Took the string, pearl and beads off and added it to my silver necklace." My reply ...... "Pretty neat idea!" And it was!! As you can see, it features a sand dollar with what looks like a small sterling star fish on top of it. When we got back to the house she gave it to my wife whose face lit up with a big smile. "Here's one to match the one I'm wearing," she told Carol. Looked great ..... and you don't need to wear perfume when you wear it, since the sand dollar carries the deodorizer smell. For the rest of the day you can smell like a new car! Best of all, it costs less than $10. It was another extraodinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
