It was an ordinary day. The kind of day that you're not sure if you feel good or bad, up or down, ………. I guess I'm kinda feeling a little down since the weather has turned colder and I can't get outside to try and walk and give my back some exercise. It's been three days since I have come home from fusion back surgery and I feel like I should be able to do more. Not gonna happen today. My brace is either too tight or not tight enough …… my legs feel great or they hurt like crazy….. well, you know one of those days. Then something caught my eye as I was passing our kitchen table. There, smiling at me, was the 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper that Carol's longtime friend Marg had sent to me when I was in the hospital. I picked it up and noticed all the time and effort she must have put into the card to try and make me feel better. Well, it sure did! Read it and re-read it over and over. What a talented artist she is. I have featured her cards over the years on my blog and thought it would make my day to do it one more time. So, Marg, for you and everyone else to see today ….. thanks for the card and smiles it gave me. It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
