The "Villa Ester" Story

It was an ordinary day.  Sitting next to the pool, reading a James Patterson book on my Kindle while my wife is busy reading Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty.  The pool happens to be located behind a pretty creole style townhouse call Villa Ester that is located in the quiet neighborhood of Orient Village which in turn is located a short walk away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of St. Martin/Sint Maarten, Orient Beach.  The island is half French and half Dutch with our townhouse located on the French side of the island.  The information listed online at: www.islandescape.com tells that the rental is a laid-back Caribbean townhouse that is fully air conditioned and offers casual tropic living with private terraces on both floors and a swimming pool in the back yard.  Villa Ester has 2 bedrooms both opening on a large balcony with en suite bathrooms upstairs ad another one downstairs which can be a king or 2 twins. The downstairs bedroom also has an en suite bathroom.  The ground floor has a sitting area with satellite TV.  It has a fully equipped kitchen with bar, dishwasher, stove with oven, microwave and clothes washer.  The living room opens onto a large patio with alfresco dining area leading to the BBQ, sunbathing area and private pool.  The place is very nice and quiet and situated within walking distance of fantastic restaurants, a small grocery store and Orient Beach.
