It was an ordinary day. Celebrating one of my neighbor's birthdays with a large gathering of neighborhood friends and a hugh cake. Tom lives five doors away from my home on Rubia Place at Woodcrest Villa. My wife, Carol, and I have lived in the neighborhood for almost a year now and have yet to meet all of our neighbors.

We thought that taking in a birthday party would be a good chance to meet a few more new neighbors. Tom was just turning 80 and was celebrating the event with the party and rides in a large limo as well as having one of his friends bring their immaculate 1931 Oldsmobile to his party for all the neighborhood to see. |

The limo ride was OK, but the Olds was remarkable. The place was so crowded that I couldn't even get an overalll photograph of the car, but I did spend time taking close-up photographs of the car. The paint was immaculate and the chrome was polished to a remarkable luster. Take a look at my photographs to see what you think of the car. I was disappointed that the owner didn't offer rides, but I'm sure someone would have left some sort of mark on the beautiful paint job or interior. After all...this is a retirement community and most of us are old! After grabbing a bit to eat, Carol and I walked a couple of doors down Rubia and watched the Phillies! It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy. PS - I'm sorry I didn't get a photo of the entire car. I just forgot...since I'm quickly catching up to Tom in age.
