We had a great time this evening. We had just seen our one and only "Green Flash" before someone snapped this photo of us on Grand Case, St. Martin. The restaurant was referred to as a "lolo" since it is local food which is cooked in a half-barrel open pit. The green flash is created when the sun sets and shoots a ray of green light across the water as it disappears beyond the horizon. We have been looking for years and only have seen it one time in our lives.
Our one and only cruise we took. A western Caribbean tour to 5 ports of call. We naturally had to do the mandatory evacuation drill. Lovely vests we had for the drill.
We are always ready for a new adventure and this was a doozey. Zip Line trip through the mountains of St. Martin. Extremely physical, but we survived the morning. Barely!

This photo was taken on the ferry ride over to Pinel Island from St. Martin. The boat is always packed and you wonder how it will stay afloat. Everyone is filled with anticipation for the beach day ahead. I held the camera at arm's length to take the pix.
This is one of my favorites and was taken at sunrise on St. Croix, USVI. We got up real early and traveled to Point Udall, which is the Eastern most point in the territorial USA to see the sun rise. Fantastic view and something I will never forget.
This is probably my favorite beach shot of the two of us. Taken 2 years ago in Barbados. We had just arrived and decided to get in the water to cool off. Just Sue, our traveling companion took this shot as the waves engulfed us. Good job Sue!
This is another favorite shot, since Carol and I are having so much fun riding together. I am very poor at riding and she used to have a horse when she was younger. She was hanging back with me to make sure I was able to get the horse to do what I wanted it to do. Didn't work very well, but we did have a good time. This photo was taken in Provo, Caicos when we were riding on Grace Bay Beach.
I am so glad that digital photography has arrived. You can take hundreds and hundreds of photos and don't have to pay to have them developed. And the color ....... well, the color is as real as if you were there. Skin tones are fabulous and the highlights and shadows are as you saw them when you pushed the button. I look forward to many more chances to use my camera to take photos of my wife and myself. It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
