It was an ordinary day. Going over the 700 or so photos that I took on my recent trip to St. Martin. Most of the photos were taken with my Sony Alpha DSLR camera. For the last few years I used the lens that came with the camera. It was a 18-70mm Sony lens. Got some great shots, but at times I wished I had something for wide angle shots and also for telephoto shots. The main reason I bought the Sony was because I could use all of my autofocus Minolta lenses with it. My last trip I took my my 90-300mm telephoto lens with me. It is 6" long and weighs a ton. I decided I needed a lens that would take in all the ranges I wanted and at a smaller size. Found an 18mm (macro)-200mm lens on Amazon and bought it. Really like the versatility the lens gives me. Hence, over 700 shots in one week and I still found time to tan, read, tour, and eat. Well, I picked out some of my favorites and am posting them in three stories for you to view. Hope you also find a few that you enjoy. It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
