The "Welcome to My World!" Story
It was an ordinary day. Was working at the frame shop and couldn't find my glasses. I can see better without them when working with my hands so I took them off and set them somewhere. Then as I was turning around, I found them; under my foot. Yep, fell off the table when I was moving things around, looking for them, and now I went and stepped on them. Knocked the one lens out. Second time I did that in the last month. First time I did it I took them to Costco, where I bought them, and they fixed them for me. No charge! Too much a pain to drive back again so I grabbed my small screwdriver set and fixed them myself. Took all of two minutes. When I was done I decided it was time to quit for the day so I turned off the lights, radio, air compressor, and dry-mounting press. Then ........ I couldn't find my keys. I know I just had them, but ..... Well, I said to myself that I'm not the only one who forgets where I put stuff. And the more I age, the more stuff I misplace or should I say I misplace the same stuff more often. When I finally got home I grabbed lunch then headed to my office to check the emails from this morning. Just a few, but this one really caught my attention. From a former classmate of mine who is on the class reunion committee with me. Bill wrote a simple one line memo to me that said: If this isn't your song now, it may be coming sooner than you think! So I clicked on the link and thoroughly enjoyed the next couple of minutes. So much that I just have to share it with you. If you can see yourself in the lyrics of the song, welcome to my world. It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
