The "Where's the Lost and Found, Please!" Story
It was an ordinary day. Looking for my stocking cap again. Not in the lost and found at Moravian Manor where my mom is a resident. That's where I found it the last time I had lost it. I have a favorite cap that I wear almost every day in the winter to help keep my head and ears warm when I am outside in the cold weather. I bought it at Sports Authority. Black in color and the softest stocking cap that I ever had. Made by a company called BULA. Now, I have other caps that I can wear, especially when I lose my favorite, but they just aren't the same. Have a white Margaritaville hat that is only half as soft and only half as warm as my favorite. I have a red one with a gray stripe, a plain gray one and an orange one that really stands out. After losing my favorite a few weeks ago I headed back to Sports Authority for another one. This is the third year in a row that I had to do that. Still have them at the same place in the store, and they were on sale this time. Half price! And they had 2 left. Dumb me, only bought one. I know I'll be back again soon, so I should have picked up both of them. My wife is trying to devise a way that I can't lose them. Trying to find the straps that little kids use to hold their mittens to their jackets. I guess I could attach my hat to my collar. Also talks about using a Velcro strap and fastening it to the sleeve of my jacket. See, I stuff it in my jacket pocket when I take it off and the pockets aren't that deep so the hat finds its way out of the pocket at times. Most times it end up in the car or on the floor of the house, but other times it disappears. I'm hoping the new one will last me the rest of this winter. It was another extraordinary day in the life of an ordinary guy.
